REVERB killed my amp?

Man, I really hate shipping tube amps. It seems like something almost always goes wrong, even when you pack carefully. Last time it happened I offered to pay for the guy to take it to his tech.

There’s a mom-and-pop UPS store nearby. it’s not the closest one to me, but it’s one I trust. They are awesome at packing, and I’ll pay a little more to have them do it as they’ve never failed me shipping big tube amp.s

That's the way to do it, but there are still no guarantees the way that UPS and FedEx throw boxes around. I had a professionally-packed, double-boxed Metropoulos head shipped to me earlier this year that still got broken in transit. My tech was fortunately able to fix it.

One of the EL84s did get tanked during shipping. New tube in and the amp sounds killer.
Gonna reimburse the buyer for the replacement tube.

All's well that ends well.
