Quad Cortex Mini

Yes. So if you're in a hurry with song timing, you have to plan to be holding the b first and then stomp on the scene button in time. Easier to have an mc8 ready for scene changes and allocate the qcm buttons for effect bypass.
Huh? I’m not sure we’re having the same conversation lol

I’d say a user who wants to switch between 8 scenes without an external controller would be better served with a full sized QC in the first place.

Way I see it 4 switches might be enough it's just an odd placements on the corners, it's a nice compact unit though
I might buy one one day [No I won't be selling my FM9] but I'm sure there are some here that have multiple modelers
Just a thought at this point, because sometimes you don't need a full lab to dial in say a reverb or delay or whatever.

I can make 2 switches work with the NC, with an expression pedal. This gives me 4 rigs basically:

Button 1
- 1 - clean sound. Toe down to engage a timmy style overdrive.
- 2 - heavy rhythm sound

Button 2
- 3 - lead sound with full delay and reverb. Expression pedal touch kicks in wah and an overdrive.
- 4 - same as 3 but drier with an analog delay and no reverb.

That's a lot of power in 2 buttons.
