I just got a QC and I am not missing those plugins. So if someone buys a QC they don't own any plugins then then have to purchase the PCOM X Versions, that kind of sucks for someone spending big bucks on a unit like the QC

Meaning they are included or you don't need them hence not missing them?I just got a QC and I am not missing those plugins.
As in don't need.Meaning they are included or you don't need them hence not missing them?
I like the IIC+ plugin right alongside Nameless as my favorite - mostly because it’s just “the amp” just as it’s supposed to be tweaked. Same 5 band EQ, push pull knobs etc.I really want the Mesa plug-in for half-rational (at best) reasons. But people don’t seem to rave about that one as much as the others.
I bought Rabea, and then they gave away a better version of the only block I cared about (synth) before they even gave Rabea the X treatment. D’oh!
Never understood this argument. The plugins are separate to the QC. I’ve probably spent more on their plugins than what a QC costs and I don’t expect any HW for free. I’d pay money for a Fractal plugin, just as I spent extra money on Helix Native and Metallurgy to have plugin support. So if someone buys a QC they don't own any plugins then then have to purchase the PCOM X Versions, that kind of sucks for someone spending big bucks on a unit like the QC

If you buy the plugins they are primarily functioned to run outside of the QC. The fact they can run on there is just a bonus. Expecting to get every single new plugin NDSP makes for eternity just for owning a piece of HW doesn’t make sense to me.
I mean, Helix owners have to spend money to get a plugin that doesn’t expand their content in any way?So if someone buys a QC they don't own any plugins then then have to purchase the PCOM X Versions, that kind of sucks for someone spending big bucks on a unit like the QC

that's half true, there was a time that when you bought the Helix, the plug in was a free addition. Then it went to $50.I mean, Helix owners have to spend money to get a plugin that doesn’t expand their content in any way?
thats different its often time free or cheap to purchase if it is required, but over $200.00 CDN is a lot of coin for a suite, but thats ok i was just curious is allI mean, Helix owners have to spend money to get a plugin that doesn’t expand their content in any way?

Yes, I did an EQ Match test with FabFilter Pro-Q. No difference.are you able to report whether the Plini PCOM sounds like its VST partner? (or at least close enough) thanks
Did you get to try the preset I sendt you? This preset is using one of MirrorProfiles' IRs and Zuul from Nameless. It's got a Diezel VHX capture that (imo) has beaten the shit out of any sound I've heard so far for my tastes - like

Sweet! Hope you like it. And try a few Fuzz captures on the cloud ,V2 that is.So, my QC Mini arrived this afternoon. I have to say, Neural did a really great job with the design. It looks very classy, and let me tell you...
I like the form factor and it suits my needs.
But seriously, I can't make a direct comparison now, but I think I can say with reasonable certainty that the Mini is significantly less noisy than the original QC. I sent that one back because I had a significantly lower noise level when playing the plugins on my Mac than with the same plugin components on the QC. So now I've just done a direct comparison between the Nolly X ‘Engage the Curse’ preset (without noise gate) on the QC Mini and as a plugin. The result: practically no difference, the noise level is almost identical.
Really happy with my purchase so far!

I did, it sounds sick!Did you get to try the preset I sendt you?
I don't think it's a completely unreasonable argument - in fact, I've probably made the argument myself once or twice. But it seems less and less relevant as the QC platform gets more robust in its own right.Never understood this argument. The plugins are separate to the QC. I’ve probably spent more on their plugins than what a QC costs and I don’t expect any HW for free. I’d pay money for a Fractal plugin, just as I spent extra money on Helix Native and Metallurgy to have plugin support.
If you buy the plugins they are primarily functioned to run outside of the QC. The fact they can run on there is just a bonus. They are different platforms for different uses. Expecting to get every single new plugin NDSP makes for eternity just for owning a piece of HW doesn’t make sense to me.

That's what PCOM is S O O N.^^ people would be happy. That’s what PCOM is
