if you own the plugin, there is a free upgrade to the X version. Then it should work as part of your QC.
If you don't currently own the plugin, then it is not included.

However, I have the same question(s) related to the X offerings.
Shouldn't the Mesa on the suite sound close to the Petrucci X and the existing model on the QC? I'm not sure.
Or shouldn't the inherent SLO on the QC already sound like the X PCOM SLO? Not sure why it wouldn't.

The plugins should NOT be looked at as necessity at all! They’re like paid DLC imo, if you like it, you’re free to get it but the base game is all there.

As for IIC+ vs Petrucci:

IIC+ is a faithful model of a IIC+ amp, licensed by Mesa. It isn’t an archetype, it’s not voiced a certain way. Petrucci is PETRUCCI’S IIC+ (I don’t think they used the JP2C but if they did it was likely the IIC+ mode anyway). The whole plugin is like if you want Dream Theater in a box. There are overlaps between these two as far as tones go, but they’re different things. Kind of like if they came with literally just the old 5150 block letter plugin, people could go “well isn’t that in Nolly?” (I would but that even though I have Nolly too)

I really want the Mesa plug-in for half-rational (at best) reasons. But people don’t seem to rave about that one as much as the others.

I bought Rabea, and then they gave away a better version of the only block I cared about (synth) before they even gave Rabea the X treatment. D’oh!

I like the IIC+ plugin right alongside Nameless as my favorite - mostly because it’s just “the amp” just as it’s supposed to be tweaked. Same 5 band EQ, push pull knobs etc.

Never understood this argument. The plugins are separate to the QC. I’ve probably spent more on their plugins than what a QC costs and I don’t expect any HW for free. I’d pay money for a Fractal plugin, just as I spent extra money on Helix Native and Metallurgy to have plugin support.

If you buy the plugins they are primarily functioned to run outside of the QC. The fact they can run on there is just a bonus. They are different platforms for different uses. Expecting to get every single new plugin NDSP makes for eternity just for owning a piece of HW doesn’t make sense to me.

that's half true, there was a time that when you bought the Helix, the plug in was a free addition. Then it went to $50.
I bought a Helix, got the plug-in, returned the Helix then bought a used Helix..
