They're all expensive, especilly the QC mini. But cool that you love qc and don't like STadium. This is a Quad Cortex aficionado thread, after all.

I will say though seeing a floor unit cost $2400 post tax doesn't feel great. I get it's the new gen and I bet fractal will also be super expensive. I'm glad they also are launching the non XL shortly after though. Should reduce the higher price sting of the XL

Just sucks to see as there are many other options for much cheaper.

I've actually owned and extensively used both a QC and a Stadium, so thought that perspective might be of value to @GTR37 and his decision.

Can the Stadium Doom though??

Dang! For a Line 6 device. I`ve had my share of line6 stuff, it was only when I got a Axe Fx Ultra that the sounds were all there, I feel

I don't even think Line 6 is happy with that price, but they're sourcing top-notch all-in-one hardware during the worst possible time, politically and macroeconomically-speaking.

It's why the QC Mini sent lots - myself included - into sticker shock as well.

Thankfully, it's not too hard to use MF coupons and price-matching from Sweetwater and others to shave 15-20 percent off that cost. Well, for Stadium it wasn't.

Me neither. Most of the Line 6 stuff just ain’t for me either. I’ve owned quite a few of there products over the years and the only one I ever cared for was the stomp. Absolutely no interest in the Stadium.

It`s a `full` Quad Cortex, I feel the price is alright for what you get. The V.2 captures is really good. It`s not a hx stomp, but it`s not a lot bigger

Everything can change with any of these devices in one firmware upgrade....you never know until you try.
Once Proxy comes out, it may be a big deal. Conversely, it may not.
If L6 strip things down like they have in the past and put Proxy on a Stomp version, it may be a top seller.

Four footswitches isn't "full" to me, but that's just for my use case. I have really tried to be a lot better about saying something is definitively NOT (fill in the blank) as opposed to definitively not that for me.

I probably would be a lot more confident and happy with the price if they had a better public communication/firmware development track record, but I give them credit for having a pretty successful past 6 months on both fronts.

Here's hoping they keep that up!

And with the hole Capture thing, I feel for the first time owning a modeler, that I get new `things all the time` for free
It`s wierd for folks that don`t own capture tech devices..I know. But it`sure a hell of a lot fun

Yeah, I used to have a FM3 that was way more versatile than just dual mode, and even there....I got tired of press-and-hold and alternate screens/functions. I just want to have a good balance of switches/size/functionality. The QC Mini definitely has the latter two.

I'd be willing to overlook the lack of switches for a cheaper price because I'd strictly be using this as a backup rig to my Stadium. But not at $1400.

I'd grab a Hotone Ampero II for a third of that all day, and it runs some great captures too. Had one just before I grabbed my Stadium, and might be getting another.

If button count is the only issue, you just need to add an MC6/MC8/or similar and you have everything you need. Button count is very fixable. It's the devices that scale down everything that pose the problem. IMO.

I don't wanna do modular anymore. I'm over controllers and pedalboards. I appreciate Line 6's commitment to all-in-one convergence stuff.

But that's not everyone.

Much like Ola - I have like 3 sounds. Clean, Chug and Lead. Then a 4th would be like "check out my fuckin synth sound" or something - I could absolutely just use the mini live if I wanted

I'm a button guy. It's not great for floor space but even when I had an axe3, I had 2 fc12 boards. I hate button holds to find things. Give me all of my stomp effects where I can see them all of the time.

Hard agree. It's crazy how much more capability/ flexibility you get with just 1 more switch. My gigs usually consist of 4 main presets, and then slight variations on each. Clean, crunch / rhythm, lead, and then solo.

The clean has a dotted 8th delay as a variation. The rhythm has a crunch, and then slightly boosted. Etc.

Started with FM3, then moved to Nano with an expression pedal to effectively get 8 switches. Now I've got the Mini on order, and I'm very excited. Should be perfect for what I do.

I feel this, too. There is a point where I am just over trying to configure a bunch of switching. Especially when jumping back and forth between different things. You get the main things sorted then spend a bunch of time trying to fill up the rest of the available switch slots.

I get it. I used to use a lot of presets per gig, then I said fuck it. I'm going with the kitchen sink and have 3 amps. Then just have some scenes and have all effects laid out. Increasing frustration and declining patience with age. I hated trying to remember what effects were included with what preset. Now the audience gets a clean, a Marshall variant or a 5150.
