Not yet. Will likely stick with the OGs until used/refurb QCMs start turning up.

Yeah, it's the super annoying part about the re-anti-hype machine that has surrounded the QC. I have no idea if the "noise issues" were power supply related or inherent to the device, at this point no idea if they were real or imagined, blah blah blah blah.

FWIW, very real - and inherent to the device For some reason, QCs tend to pick up noise very easily unless some part of it is properly grounded. I could make mine hum reliably just by unplugging a USB-B cable.

FWIW I keep my QC plugged into the same power conditioner that my amp is plugged into. I don’t really have any noise complaints, I use it standalone with no amp and I also use it guitar > QC > amp/Suhr combo > back to QC without using an amp’s FX loop. I get some static that’s there when I’m on a high gain amp if I don’t have a gate after the amp but it’s not anything terrible at all, you just hear the quiet buzz.

I would be the same as you if I didn’t have the ability to exchange my full sized QC for it. No reason to lose money for a smaller thing imo (even if I am excited about the smaller size)

I thought it was a noisy headphone issue when not grounded or some shit. I remember at the time everyone Ciok’d up but eventually that headphone noise issue went away without it.

Not quite as small as I had imagined but I like how it’s a little smaller and cleaner on the desk. I think I’ll move the QC into the bedroom and…stop it you perverts…set it up in there alongside/instead of my Badlander rig.

I had two of them in the first year and both of them had excessive noise issues that no other modeler I’ve owned had in the same locations. Originally NDSP promised to send out new power supplies to everyone to fix the issue, but then ghosted everyone. Never heard if the issue was truly resolved or maybe fixed on the new hardware.

@deadpool_25 Can you compare the noise floor of each unit in front of an amplifier - specifically high gain? As if you were going to use it for effects only ?
