In any case, last year the QC development progress was pretty abysmal. Let's see if it picks up this year.

In that Beato video, there was an AI team of at least six people. Looking at what NDSP produced in the past couple of years, I wonder what all those people do?

I mean, why is that a poor argument? I don't think hardware staff work on software programming and if the Mini has the same software as the QC, what would that take away from the software team?

I think it's a poor argument because they should get a bigger or better software team, instead of giving an answer that effectively passes the buck. The QC has been out for YEARS and a lot of stuff promised at launch still isn't there. Meanwhile, their software and hardware teams have clearly been hard at work with other products. All they care about is money.

I don't disagree, but given they're competing in a space with designs like these, it don't take much:

Given that it's been years, it seems to me the issue here is folks having not recalibrated their expectations. What was promised for the QC at launch seems an awful lot like an "easily puts out 10,000 watts" promise in Behringturd Power Amp ad copy. Disingenuous, but if its not living up to that expectation, its the fault of the person still holding onto the expectation.

The size to power ratio on this thing is fuckin ridiculous

I think this form factor is cool. One thing that prevented me from ever considering the Quad Cortex was the foot switches. Lack of scribble strips and limited customization when compared to fractal or helix.

This form factor basically says "bring your own midi foot switcher", which I think is cool and makes for more modular unit.

However, the price point kills it for me. To get that with something like a Morningstar MC8 puts the whole package close to $2000.

YOU SEE HOLOHOLOLOLOL; THE SWITCHES ARE THERE FOR ENCODER PURPOSES BUT THE '0' FORM IS OTHERWISE TECHNICALLY INTACT AS IT IS TRULY PORTABLE AND CAN BE CONTROLLED REMOTELY (ALLEGEDLY)
