Anyone getting anything cool from Amazon Prime Day? Plenty of cheap MI gear that I don't want. Any diamonds in the rough?

Nope; I left Amazon 4 years ago after being OG prime- and I’m never going back. Don’t need any more cheap Chinese shit. I’ll pay 20% more to buy from an American vendor that I can have a relationship with. Ymmv

I've never seen the value in Prime.
Whenever I need something, I make a note on my phone, so that when there's an item I need right away, I have a few other things to add to my order, so it qualifies for free shipping.

Running low on something..., it goes on my list. I can't remember the last time I paid shipping. Plus, outside of holiday shopping season, my stuff always arrives before the date promised.

Without fail, with every single purchase, Amazon tries to get me to sign up for Prime. That right there tells my skeptical nature it's not a good deal for me, but instead, a psychological way for Amazon to get in their customers' heads, and make them feel like they need to purchase X amount of shit every month, to justify the cost.

In all actuality… Prime day is not as good of a deal as you can get the week after…. Got the T-shirt, mug, and gray hairs long ago. It’s one of the key reasons I left ‘em.

I ordered a cheap expression pedal that had gotten ever so slightly cheaperer. But that's only because I stumbled across it while I was trying to read reviews of all the crap my wife was threatening to buy. :rofl

Just think of all the money you’re saving by spending money you wouldn’t have otherwise if it wasn’t for all the savings.

Prime video. That's why I have it.

II love Amazon almost anything I want at one click, I hate going out shoping ohh and yes also Prime video

Not sure if living 1 mile from 2 giant distribution centers helps me or not, but I haven’t paid for shipping on anything in quite a while. I can order strings at 11am and they’ll be at my doorstep when I get home at 4pm, I wouldn’t get home until 5:30-6pm if I had to go to GC to buy them for $1-$2 more than I get them on Amazon.

Hahaha the only stuff I buy on there regularly is strings and lube.

Ah yes, “Prime Day,” a.k.a. “Black Friday in July.” I snagged a security camera at an aggressive price for my folks so they can watch the pups while they are out of town for a few days.

Other than that, I mainly use Amazon to order consumables such as body wash, hand soap, bulk foods (almonds, spices, canned tomatoes) and other things that are much more expensive or they don’t carry at my local grocer.

With that said, I didn’t see many deals on audio gear that piqued my interest.

I only ask because I was browsing just for the hell of it (and my wife is all about it) and there isn't a single thing that strikes me as something I want to waste my time/money with unless someone else is seeing something I'm not?

We'll probably get some camping gear and a camera/doorbell but everything else is BS I don't want AFAICT. Even some of the camping gear we had our eye on came up in price :cuss

List price was $320 and we got it out the door for $190. Our current Ninja has lasted us 4 years and we were talking about an upgrade anyway. Sweet deal considering how versatile these things are.
