Using an Uber Ultra EL34 for death metal.
My amp sounds great so I cant really say what im missing or looking for, just like to nerd out and test things. Maybe less mid forward but still cutting through if thats even possible?
Im thinking 6CA7 because I did really like the 6L6 model of the Ultra but the one thing that makes me hesitant is that im reading they will have much higher headroom, my ears are already bleeding so I cant imagine turning up any louder to get the goods without attenuation.
Other than that I did really like the JJ E34L I tried decades ago.
Any recommendations?
