Behringturd A800

Total: 200€ with a Thomann Rack Case 2U Shallow.
Short, light, powerful, cheap and reliable, measures well, great for modelers, great for making IRs, great for amplifying after Reactive Loads.

Currently I have the Behringturd A500 in my AxeFx3 rack and the A800 in a separate 2u shallow rack.
The A800 is Class D while the predecessor A500 is Class A/B, I hear and measure zero difference in frequency response, both are PLENTY loud and can blow the speakers out of a 4x12 cab.
The A800 is also much quieter (no mains hum), cooler and lighter due to not having a huge ass transformer inside.

I use this in my living room. Loud enough for home use (more than loud enough).

You can also use your phone to bluetooth to it to send backing track audio (music files, or youtube). You can also plug a mic in and use it for karaoke. As it's an acoustic amp, it works well with acoustics too.

For live/gigs I use a JCM2000 TSL122 combo's fx return. However, be aware that parts are in short supply and the power units are no longer made if any repair/replacement work needs to be done. Also needs to be v20 motherboard.

I also have a 50watts JVM 205C which works well, but, isn't as loud, but will cost more.

My pedalboard also has an Orange Pedal Baby, so all bases are covered when paired with one of the Marshalls. Pedal Baby into cab when using rehearsal rooms. Pedal Baby into the Marshall if the power tubes blow.

I’d seriously recommend one of these little babies.
Can be bridged for 100W mono. But two 1x12, or 2x12’s, sounds wide and wicked, when fed with stereo delays and reverbs.
I tamed my inputs with Jan/Phillips 5751 valves, and use NOS Mullard CV4024 as splitters.

In Philly that's too risky. People have been killed for cutting in line here.

Fights often start with someone saying "What are you looking at?"

Armchair cojones are much safer in these parts.

The adrenaline rush from flirting with death is what makes it exciting. Thats abig part of the "feel" of a real argument that a digital sim can hold a candle to even if the tone of the argument is the same.

Oh yeah well wait till you guys see what’s in my living room. A friend let me use it while he was time traveling running errands.

Where was Doc, that early in the morning anyway? He didn't need Marty until 1am the next morning, so, what the hell was he doing that early, and all day, away from his house/lab?

Regarding the Blug, that nanotube will definitely outlast me, for a couple of reasons:

1. I'm getting older and I don't think I'll be gigging forever, so, there's that.
2. Even if it does die, a few years from now, knowing me, I'll be using something else by then anyway, lol, or:
3. The AMP1 is south of $1k NEW, and about half of that used, that's not exactly catastrophic, and totally "replace-worthy" in my book.
