In expanding the wood debate I was interested to know what people like the acoustic sound of?
Is it reflected in the plugged in tone IYO?
Pictures and say why.
I’ll start with something controversial;

This sounds amazing unplugged and no wood.
I have always only bought instruments that sound good unplugged though.
This is hard to beat as well;

There’s so much good to say about the design of the Telecaster.
This too has a fantastic acoustic sound;

Not a hint of a dead spot anywhere on any of these and they all sound complex chords harmonically well without issues. I must say though that the Aristides was the most sensitive to intonate and is the least forgiving when it comes to being out.

So which is the best of these 3?

They are equal but different. The Hydra has a real piano bass . The 0/H6 is even and very articulate. The Tele is traditional a quite versatile with real presence behind each note. By this I mean bass in the treble and treble in the bass. 🤣 har to describe. I’m not just talking about volume because if I was the 0/H6 is twice the volume of the others.
I will say one instrument that sounds like ass acoustically but good plugged in is a 335. Lively but nasty.

My Lindert probably sounds the best acoustically compared to the others as well. Loud, bouncy and articulate, yet still an air around the notes. Fun to play.

My semi-custom Dark Matter (Balaguer) sounds crazy good unplugged (and plugged in)

Mahogany body, roasted maple neck and ebony fingerboard

I do find tremolo equipped guitars in general tend to sound best unplugged for some reason
That's an interesting shape I haven't seen before? :unsure:
It's cool though. (y)
