My Ample arrived today. I got lost in the Bad Cat for about an hour. Really impressed with it so far. I'm gonna gig it in place of the IR-J next Saturday and see how it does.

I'm having an issue with MIDI on this thing. It switches presets fine with a PC message but when I send a CC to activate the boost it turns the boost on then right back off. Anybody with an Ample have any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Haven’t tried CC yet but what you describe is likely the difference between’toggle’ and ‘latching’ footswitch choices in the sending device parameters.
Even if you aren’t actually using a footswitch look for an option like that. It could be referred to as ‘momentary’ instead of toggle

Also, sometimes you have to manually differentiate by sending the CC number followed by a value 0-127 or 1 to 128 is the range. Upper half and lower half of the range is the difference between on and off. So if the options for sending a value after the CC number exists then experiment with 1 for low and 127 for high

I'm using a Luminite Graviton M1. I've tried using regular CC and Toggling CC, and it's the same either way. The Ample says anything over a value of 64 is on. If I send straight from the M1, it works fine. If I send as part of a preset, it activates and then immediately deactivates. It may be a setting on the M1 that I have set wrong. I'm going to do some more digging. I may have to just manually hit the boost if all else fails.

I figured it out. I needed to put a long pause before the CC message. It's working as expected, now.
