Interested to see what kinda dumb i can get up to with the Recto.

At last!I have greenback loaded 212 coming as well
I'll be running out of cabinet floor space soon![]()
Gotta have that bathroom 4x12 experienceI have a 2x12/4x12 cab in (almost) every room in the house, when I switch cabs rolling them from room to room I get the (probably deserved) evil eye.![]()
Your credit card right now. It's supposed to get here today. I have greenback
loaded 212 coming as well and that might take precedence![]()
Sadly, home is the only venue I play anymore that actually allows a cab that large. I so miss the fun of cranking up a 4x12 on stage.Gotta have that bathroom 4x12 experience![]()
I’d be interested in hearing what you have to say about the PalmerIt's supposed to get here today. I have greenback loaded 212 coming as well and that might take precedence![]()
Absolutely. We've been sick for what seems like forever this week so no loud time. I should get some weekend play time in hopefully.I’d be interested in hearing what you have to say about the Palmer

It is a passive box after all so duh.Yeah all this even loud af home alone tone chasing is really kinda wheel spinning till you get with the band out live. I do wonder how that loadbox of theirs is? Both this and especially their cab merger is got a few weeks back have been super useful.I think your opinion of it will go higher once you hear it in a live mix. That's where Palmer stuff really shines.
Yes. I use 1 IR with everything. It's a Boss IR and it sounds super direct. The bright cab in the Palmer reminds me a lot of it. Which really isn't answering your question, I'm afraidDid you get the Palmer ILM box? Does it vaguely remind you of any speaker in particular? I was intrigued by the Palmer stuff before IRs.
You are great with cab variety in a live setting. I'd think you'd feel kind of stunted with a single speaker approach? I think the best way to try it is as Billy said; live with the band through a LOUD PA.I’ve been curious about these for a long time. I used a Mic-no-mo for a run of shows and the sound tech said it was great in the house, and it sounded fine in wedge monitors. I’m a little skeptical if I would like it when I’m monitoring through IEMs though.
But that’s probably just coming from my own bad experiences with terrible analog speaker emulation in the past
