Bloody hell. Not too far off a year since I bought this thing. My friend built it for me and it has sat on his shelf for ages, because I couldn't get my shit together. But look what turned up today:

It actually sounds really really good. I've got the preamp bug now, and I want more!

You'll notice the surface mount XLR jacks on the inside - oops! All done by my friend who is an amp tech, but doesn't usually work on this kind of stuff.

When my tech got the kit put together, the mains transformer was dead, but AML sent a replacement out.

The blue carnhills are the input transformers I think. The output transformer is a Carnhill too.
