Can't believe this pedal sounds and feels like it does. The software and ecosystem is not that hard to use and navigate to be honest, I don't know what all the complaining is about. RTFM and you'll do just fine.

Tonex is nice (I tried it a while back) but I'm perfectly happy with modeling. As far as IK - I hate their software - everything from licensing to the download manager to the actual software. I just feel everything is so convoluted. Sadly, I own quite a bit of their software - wish I'd gone with something else. Tones are fine at the end of the day - just how everything is managed is so unwieldy.

I have the software and like it. Still need a lot more time with it.

I think it sounds fine, definitely haven't heard anything mind blowing. I think people still need mixing expertise to get it sounding legit but it does beat a lot of the free amp Sims I've used.

Seems a little buggy here and there and not the best layout but that's just bring picky.

Honestly, this is how all the other software vendors are doing it these days. Every software vendor (including the likes of Steam, Epic Games, Ubisoft) all have download/credential managers you have to install first and then install the actual software. They all work this way now. At least there isn't a dongle.

I just got the big pedal a couple of days ago. Still trying to wrap my head around the software, but out of the box there are some amp tones preloaded that are spectacular (SLO100, Dr.Z both made me go :love). I haven't even begun to really dig in just yet, but I hooked it up through the return of an LBXII and disabled the cabs...shocked at how good that sounded.

I want to reacquire a Fender FR-10 to pair it up with - not to mention also playing through the computer and monitors.

Thomann currently sells them for €139 as a "Cyberweek" deal.

I hated the Tonex UI when I tried it upon release, but the low price certainly managed to pique my interest, since it would come in handy as a versatile set-n-forget preamp. 🤷‍♂️

I considered getting one for my new GT-1000 based rig, but as I've rather integrated the Stomp, there's no need for me to get one right now.
What I did however learn is that the pedal can run on just the USB out of pretty much any smartphone, so this is possibly the best backstage, hotelroom, outside-in-summer, holiday and what not jammate ever, so it's quite likely I'll get one some day.
Sure, could grab it right now for that deal-price, but knowing myself, it'd be too much of a distraction from what I'm currently doing.

Very much agree to this, which is why I'm still hesitating and probably won't buy after all, despite the no-brainer price tag.

Thing is, with all these capturing things, you'll likely end up endlessly surfing captures. And even once you've found that killer Plexi capture, you'd still continue hunting just in case there could be a better one. Been there with the NAM and Genome plugins already, had to stop leeching pretty much every capture on ToneHunt.
That's as well why I prefer component modeling. Things are as they are and it's up to you to get the most out of it, rather than expecting someone else to do it.
I will very likely get a Tonex One, though, should be the perfect partner for next year's spring and summer.

Go for it. You will not regret

Hmmm... I have a Helix Floor, Two Notes CAB M+, and an all-analog boutique Model T preamp, not sure if a Tonex One would scratch any new itch that I didn't know I had.

Guess I might still consider getting it due to the low price, but the only reason I'm eyeing it is the "endless" possibilities... moar TWEAKING. :ROFLMAO:

Whatever inspires you to play more and generate new creative ideas! I've found just as much inspiration from the Tonex as I have from the Helix, and vice versa. They have always resulted in hours of playing, but what I play and create varies depending on the way the gear responds to you, which will always be unique to each piece of kit imo
