That purple with the Wenge neck looks fantastic.

I have the previous incarnation of this in white: https://thegearforum.com/threads/ngd-schecter-nick-johnston-traditional-hss.2741/ . No complains, plays fantastic and haven't had to do any work on it (though I got it used, so possible the previous owner did some work on it).

Yeah, the purple is slick. I really like my SSS NJ. I need another guitar like a need a hole in the head, but if these ever pop up as a SDOTD, I won’t be able to resist.

Yeah, they’re import.

These have always been a good bet for the money because the playing experience is going to work ( flat fingerboard and big frets). But don’t look too hard under the covers because it’s dog rough. Way worse under the hood than any MIM Fender.

Quite good wood but very rough inside trem cavity and neck pocket. low quality electrics and budget G&B pickups. Functional hardware but you would have trouble if it gets any cheaper.

Most that I played were pretty decent, but something about them looks really cheap. Crazy to think they're already out for 10 years though!

So it's been three months - these are not shipping yet.

Sweetwater has the Atomic Green and Saffron on stock now. Purple coming on October.

I got them to match the 15% coupon from MF and put an order for the purple one

So I received it but sadly it’s gonna have to go back.

There’s this rattle when I play the G string that sounds like it’s coming from the truss rod (the truss rod works fine though) - if I shake the guitar it unmistakably sounds like it’s coming from inside the neck around the nut area.

Unfortunately not, I checked all the hardware for looseness ‘cause I didn’t really want to send it back but everything was solid.
