Yup. Too old. No sexy here. Not even a Flying V can change that.
I have been chasing the V Unicorn for many years. From Albert King to
Hammett and Hetfield, to Schenker and Rhoads, to Richie Faulkner, I have
been wowed by V-wielding Axeslingers my entire playing life.
Owned a Gibson in the past. Had a Dean Schenker V for an hot minute. And
another Dean V that I never bonded with. After my stellar experience with the
Edwards LPC in 2023 I knew there was only one way to go. Yup.

Arrived in flawless condition. Been eyeballing these for months and when one would pop up on
Reverb it would be gone in days. I was checking every day, and when I saw this one in the Classic
70s configuration I pulled the trigger immediately.
I may drop some Chrome/Nickel covered Pups in it. I may not. It plays so well. Upper fret access
is
Can get my weedly weedly on so easily!
It certainly has that upper mid bark and bite of a V. Not going to bring the heavies as much as
some of my other guitars. But when I want to pretend
it is going to be perfect for that.
The cool thing is it showed up during the week of my Birthday---which is today. I don't do
Cake or Ice Cream.... but I can do some tasty drenched in Vanilla Flying Vs.
