Traded and consigned a bunch of stuff but wanted a good solid R9. Stumbled on this mint used ‘22 R9. “Believer Burst”. It’s pretty much just standard factory style sunburst. Just a solid workhorse!!
Nice top but not “over the top”. No pickguard installed from factory (it’s in the case). Good Goldilocks neck size and decent sub 9 lbs weight.
Specs:
Neck 1st: .882
Neck 12th: .987
Weight: 8.9 lbs
Neck output: 7.80k
Bridge output: 7.70k
It had the “old style” reissue ABR. But I had one of the newer ones with more oval ends. So swapped that on.
The bridge pu crushes. The neck pu sings. Like I said Just a solid workhorse R9. I’m very pleased with it!
Oh I dig the more “brown” back. Don’t know if it just faded over the last 3 yrs or if it was like that from the onset. The top doesn’t look faded so it would be strange for just the back to be. But hopefully not much bleed with this one. I’m so over the aniline dye that stains anything it touches.
