I really like the color. Think I had a Subaru Impreza the same color once.
Nice! Yeah that one looks awesome! Really fantastic guitars.I acquired this one yesterday. It is a 2018 and currently in the set up phase. So far it is coming along nicely. I’ve always favored double bound teles.
Yours looks fantastic too. I hope you enjoy it as much as I hope to enjoy mine!

I’ve heard that a few times unofficially. I heard similar rumors about the 2013-2017 AV series that preceded these, though they have the traditional radius. They and all the other American Original series were great but I suspect the radius change that made them work also cut in to custom shop sales, hence discontinued .

The AO series had a 9.5 radius.did they do something sensible like put 12" radiuses on em? cause i did that on all my teles by myself
i LOVE telecasters and have three- but i hate smaller than a 9.5"- its like playing on the grip of a baseball bat and it definitely prefer the opposite end

9.5” and taller frets . I prefer flatter myself but they play a whole lot better then the previous generation or the replacement. And yes you can change it but most don’t.did they do something sensible like put 12" radiuses on em? cause i did that on all my teles by myself

My tele is16” and has 57110 stainless steel frets.
Missed this. How’s that wide range humbuckers working out?Well since this thread is sorta turning into an AO appreciation thread, my AO 70s Custom absolutely rips.

I tried a firebird neck pickup in a tele a couple years ago and found I really missed the single coil sound.

Oh interesting! Thanks for the tip.My favorite position on that guitar is the middle. The wide range on its own isn’t particularly special but combined with the bridge it’s fantastic. Adds a little beefiness to the twang, and the LP control layout is helpful in getting the right blend between them.
Yeah I started to go down the rabbit hole and it seems like authentic ones are rare/expensive because of the nature of the materials and blah blah I couldn’t be bothered. It’s in the “maybe one day” column.I've never tried proper wide range HBs but always wanted to.
