Yeah- except for the daycare-craft-splatter finish it’s actually a guitar I’ve wanted for a while - hollowbody baritone with piezo pickup.

I think it’s me, Ed Sheeran and probably two other people on this planet who want those specs.

But I can’t get over that finish. It sucks.

I finally got to play the Ed Sheeran Baritone (at Chuck Levin’s outside DC). It’s not as butt ugly in real life, but still not what I would choose. It is essentially a thinline 277, which is great as far as the neck goes. The acoustic pickup is solid.

Personally I think the neck pickup needs coil splitting.

The body is lighter than an older 277 that I played. The older one was the semi-hollow model with 2 P-90s. In fact the Ed Sheeran model seemed almost on the verge of neck dive, though I think that might be my imagination (neck dive is a pet peeve of mine).

They had one at my local shop last weekend, and I couldn’t believe how light it was.

Give me a plain-finished version without the endorsement price bump and we’ll talk.

I agree, but I solved that issue with Well-Hung straps. I could probably play an SG with a small child strapped to the headstock and not have to worry about neck dive. Except that I am not particularly fond of SG's or small children.

Yes. Yes I think these would be cooler if they made more normal colors. Probably still be SE though. They don't make many Core Hollowbody very often anymore.

The problem I have is not that the colors are abnormal. Its that they used them all at the same time! Plus, it looks like the application method was to feed the paint to a cat and then let it vomit on the guitar.

I guess my point is that if you like a PRS SE Hollowbody Baritone Piezo, but hate the clown in a blender look, just........wait.

Or soak it in paint stripper, give it a slight "toasting" with a propane torch, and top coat with clear nitro. On second thought, your suggestion might be better.
