Looks like the links are password protected for now. These have been seen in the wild for a few years now, finally coming out.

Yeah I guess I see the format as pairing with a pedalboard or modeller but I’m sure theyll be capable on their own

I've seen the Orange "Pedal Baby" online in Australia for a few years. I have a couple of Terrors myself.

FWIW, this is EXACTLY what I wanted from Mesa. Subway-sized guitar amps. Given how good the Super Crush is, I look forward to checking these out this spring.

I had a crush 120 or whatever it was called (I think the gen before the current one) and it was lowkey badass.
Really?

I don’t disbelieve you guys I guess I’m just surprised. Would you mind elaborating on your experiences with that amp?

I’m assuming these new amps are using different preamps butted up to the existing pedal baby power section. I wonder if the crush also uses that same power section.

The Super Crush uses the same power section as the Pedal Baby, with a JFET based preamp. Not sure which of these is voiced the same.

Gain Baby and Tour Baby look like bass amps and Dual Baby looks like it’s a guitar amp based on the Terror Stomp preamp and Pedal Baby poweramp. Nice!

Ah. Makes sense. IIRC the Bogner ecstasy pedals are also JFET and are VERY tube like in their response.

I’d love to see something like a JFET preamp and then a valvetronix valve reactor style power amp. Still holding out hope that we get away from tubes without sacrifices one of these days.

We played with King's X a while ago and Ty Tabor was using the Super Crush 120 and it sounded amazing. I would've never guessed it was a SS amp just from hearing it.

It’s a solid state Rockerverb. It had some of the drawbacks of SS, mainly not taking OD pedals very well, and feeling a little stiff, but it sounded great. Some good snappy rock tones in there if deliberate with the gain knob and if you cranked the gain it did that wall of distortion verging on fuzz that you expect from Orange. Lot of amp for $450. (I had the head) I wish I’d have kept it, but I was using it as a tweener amp waiting for a SLO to ship. lol I think it’s dry’ish clean channel would have worked really well with the AxeFX, and it probably wouldn’t have been bad as just a power amp for digital stuff.

I know there was some debate if the newer version was a step back slightly, I had the previous gen, but it was a really cool amp, regardless of the budget price.

IIRC he’s played with a lot of solid state gear over the years, which is refreshing in a space that’s drenched in the tradition of tubes. A habitual early adopter, of sorts.

Nice! I’ll have to check one out next time I cross paths with them. I like orange stuff I’m just up to my neck in tube amps which makes it hard to justify. I love supporting innovation in this space though.

None of these are bass amps. Unfortunately, I don't know what the distinction between models is, outside of the obvious visual cues.
