Josh cancelled the Ross program & had to recall *all* of the Ross pedals still on shelves @ $179 (which was 90+% of produced/released stock, writing-off shipping costs), then sell them @ cost-to-build $79, creating a *super genius" video campaign to *pump* the one-day-fire-sale, which worked like a charm!
Not really a JHS fanatic, but couldn't help but notice numerous muso forum postings re: issues with the NOTAKLÖN ribbon cable, which appears to be delicate & prone to assembly damage/user error, so the consensus is that it's a crap shoot if you buy an pre-built unit.
I imagine the piss & vinegar *outrage* is due to the "collectible investment" folks suddenly finding urine in their cheerios
Full disclosure: I forgot that I do have an excellent Red Llama clone w/EQ switch that I bought from Josh like 20 years ago, long before he started JHS mass produced "collectibles".
