New IBG Epiphones - Get them before Eagle does

Come on, man. They are built like other Cort guitars. The quality isn’t at all on par with other $2400 guitars. You think these line up to a high end Fender Strat or a PRS CE24? I sure don’t. It’s a $1500 guitar, tops. Additionally, the labor cost is FAR lower. Strandberg is milking customers for the uniqueness.

The fit and finish is still inconsistent. Some are pretty perfect. Others have fret and finish issues. You know; like a $1000-$1500 Schecter or LTD.

We’ve had this discussion.
It never ceases to amaze me how you positively shit on a lot of people’s purchases here, and then glow over mediocrity with other brands.
The quality of my original six will match any fender custom shop. Fit and finish is basically flawless. All companies let stuff out that they shouldn’t but the only problem these generally have is people who can’t get over the Cortek production.

I mean, congrats I guess. It seems super outlandish to me to “match Fender Custom Shop”.
I love Cortek stuff. I think it’s a great bang for the buck, when you’re paying what the labor reflects. Which IMO isn’t $2000-$3000.

I'll do something dumb today and tomorrow to help me not remember all the
dumb shit I have done in the past, right up to the dumb shit I am doing now,
and will do in the future. :cheers
We all do dumb shit. Like sell amazing guitars to get another guitar that then sells before you get the dough. Or something. Ask me for more boneheaded tips.

The Strandberg is at least as good on the details here.

According to you it should be obvious on all examples. They are representative of the ones I see though.
No, not according to me. Read the thread again.

EDIT

Post 113. They can be great. They’re often not. That’s “inconsistency”, not “all examples”.

Additionally, when labor is a fraction of what it is in the US, prices should reflect that, regardless of execution and components.
