New colors look terrible in dark theme

This is how it looks now with Dark Read in Light style (image below), all buggy, used to look great.
The Dark style is natively too dark and in post quotes I can't see the names of the posters.
What is the reason for this change, was something broken?

There’s no test area to see what anything looks like as the admin is doing it, so ya’ll get to experience the changes in real time.

I put in a request to control the dimming of the forum with an expression pedal, while also having the option of assigning Light and Dark mode to an Instant Access switch.

New dark theme is so good I also switched desktop to it.

The only thing that's not working is the "lightning" icon. It used to go to "new posts" and now it opens "what's new".

Apparently not a problem in the one true dark mode!

They must want you to use that instead.
