NDSP Quad Cortex

I did a gig last weekend and the QC isn't cutting it for me. I'm a singing guitar player and had some trouble hitting the right switch on time. Might be that I need to adjust to the layout of the QC but the Helix Floor / Rack+remote is so much easier with the scribble strips right above the switch. On the QC the switches are too close from one another. Even if I knew which one to step on, I found out I had selected the wrong one. Never happened to me with the Helix LT. The HX Stomp (XL) was an even worse experience for me because the screens way too small for me to read in an instance.
Also had an annoying bug that turned on the wah on presets, and it would not turn off by returning the wah to heel or toe, or not moving it for several milliseconds. Had to remove the wah from the preset and hit save. The wah was setup to engage by movement, which was working fine before.
Don't think I will learn to live with the QC. Rather go back to Helix Rack with ToneX Pedal in an fx-loop or upgrade to the Stadium XL.

Yeah, I think NDSP Discord bans are permanent and not subject to appeal. Great way to foster healthy communication...

I like all the standard delays (analog, digital, dual, tape) and you can stack/route them with reverbs/mods in awesome ways with the transparent blend block. (I think fx are 5% better in-grid, but the creativity the transparent blend affords kind of offsets it)

Could use a Memory Man and some sort of UltraTap.

The modulation block is locked in.

The Misha plug will be a big add, as it really just needs some more esoteric effects for when you’re feeling like going that route. The glitch and laser effects from that plug will start to fill that gap. (As well as the full synth and multi-voicer from the others on deck)

I am seriously enjoying the 5150III models tonight.

This tone.... it sounds so much more like me than what I am getting out of Helix Stadium. I know that may ruffle feathers.... but I cannot get this sound out of Helix. Even with the same IRs !!
@Foxmeister towards the end of this I believe I did the delay+reverb into the front of the amp thing.

a seriously cool sound... the outro had me waiting for a goblin man to come out and start quoting bill hicks

so....

I massively prefer the reverbs on the Quad Cortex to Stadium.

The bog standard digital delay?? Way more intuitive to dial in as well. Kinda night and day.

Fucksake.
They inevitably all have their strengths and weaknesses, even as the differences get smaller and smaller. At a certain point you have to just say, "fuck it, close enough", and get back to playing guitar.

That's what everyone's saying. I'd like to know for sure myself. But there's really only one way to know for sure, and it costs about $1400.
I am not honestly sure if it even was the power supply but something more to due w internal board components because the Fractal AM4 has a 2 prong ungrounded supply and it’s quiet
My guess is NDSP figured out it was not the power supply that’s why they abandoned getting a new spec’d one
