NDSP Quad Cortex

The plug is begging for a standard CE2/DC2/EM styled modulation. I like the weird variant that’s there, whatever it is, but it’s almost too off center for when you just want a standard lathering of chorus/flanger. It’s a cool experimental modulation, but it just needs one normal type to round it out.
What they really need is a master plugin where you can use all the effects you want from each. Having to chain multiple plugins and disable bits and pieces of each (with added latency) to get an effect, like the glitch delay here, is stupid.

Sorry, but this one is too good not to share :giggle:

Or they could take all the blocks from the plugins and put them on the QC where we could mix and match in prese-- oh, wait...

:bag

Is that worth another $130? Nah, but people will pay for it. They know their audience and the flashy drama videos out in the wild are eye-catching marketing pieces.
Yes, and NDSP isn't necessarily assuming that any given customer is going to buy all of these plugins. Though I'm sure they'd be pleased LOL. They're just casting a slightly wider net with slightly different bait to generate more sales. You see this in almost every industry. (Hell, I go cross-eyed trying to suss out the product differentiation when I decide on cat litter.)

As for the expense, $130 means something different for each of us. If it's a lot of money for you, you're going to be more selective as to which plugins you buy, or wait for the inevitable sale. If not, then instant gratification is an option. Again, NDSP employing the same sales tactics as any other company.

That said, I fall squarely in the "90% of these amps sound 90% alike" camp. I didn't even know 5150's were such a big thing until you guys started saying so. I would have assumed all those recordings were Mesa's of one stripe or another. :D

Off topic, but the comment section led me to a song from a Vince Neil (...) album, where Steven Stevens absolutely crushes the solo.

Ridiculously talented. The guy has a PhD in memorable guitar parts.

100%. GOAT.

Thanks for sharing that link. I probably never would have heard that solo, since... Vince Neil meh. Amazing solo!

100%, but I’m not holding my breath for anything like that until the QC plugin porting is “done” in 2028. :ROFLMAO:

I haven’t been able to listen to your clips because whenever I click the link it brings me a blank SoundCloud page lol
When did Soundcloud get so terrible on iOS (phone and iPad).
Went to click on someone else’s and the same thing where it doesn’t load in the browser and won’t load the app properly so you’re just SOOL, might have to use something else to embed now.

Yeah it was fine on my Mac!
