Actually, my guess is that very few people at the company have anything to do with it. Maybe they did originally, but eventually you get so burnt out doing a 10-12 hour work day, and then tacking on 3 hours of forum support on the end of it as you sit in bed crying into a beer bottle. How heavily do we think ndsp are telling their mods to shut things down? It’s honestly hard to comprehend how an unpaid moderator in their spare time is so bang up for defending and protecting the company. I’d be annoyed if it was their employees breathing down peoples necks this hard, it’s even weirder when people are unpaid and doing this stuff for free, wild.
I didn’t think anything in that thread was remotely bad and the threat of shutting it down kept coming up again and again. That’s a whole red flag I’d never even seen out of ndsp, so weird and dictator like.
(I'm frankly fucking amazed that @Digital Igloo finds the time, or enjoys it enough to want to do it!)
But yeah, eventually something has to give. I wouldn't be surprised at all if these wannabe Reddit admins have complete free reign through sheer lack of interest from the company directly.
