Well, not keeping promises is affecting them either way according to this -
Question is if most of their earnings are through hardware or plugins. I have to guess plugins and they haven't released a new one in quite some time. Also, unless it's something unique, once they saturated their plugin market the sales aren't going to equal the early days of Nameless, Cali, NTS, Plini etc if I had to take a guess
For me, there's a separating line though, in terms of money. For $550, for what the NC does now, AND as an ancillary purse rig, I'm fine with it. If it were to be a primary device for me, I'm less forgiving.Personally, I think this is extends to QC too. Yes, Neural has an embarrassing tendency to overpromise, and that doesn't look to be changing any time soon. But the QC itself, now, delivers great functionality out of the box. There are a whole lot of people spending a whole lot of money for these things and not sending them back - which is entirely their prerogative. QC can't be sucking that hard.
Points taken re: those who got burned at launch. On the flipside, I'm guessing those people recouped their money a long ways back. I've bought a lot of products from a lot of companies over the years that fell short of their promises, and in most cases that money just vaporized.
But that's been the most surreal part of being "the only guy in the world who likes the QC" (as it can sometimes feel in this particular forum LOL.) I consider myself a pretty tough customer. Like, a genuine pain in the ass. I have a long history of tearing products (even popular ones) apart over some tiny thing that bugs me. And yet somehow, I love BOTH my QC's. Yeah I’ve given up using gear in the past due to the stupid decisions, poor social media behavior, or missed deadlines from some manufacturers. I try to not get so caught up in that anymore and just take the product as it is right now. If I can gig it now, it works well for the job, and I can enjoy it then in the grand scheme I couldn’t care less when promises made about future developments happen. I think all the hand wringing over that stuff is a waste of time. Fun to bitch about on forums though evidently. But that's been the most surreal part of being "the only guy in the world who likes the QC" (as it can sometimes feel in this particular forum LOL.) As much as Alaska makes it a difficult choice; the circus music bits make it an easy choice imo.Ah man, they’re both SO good.

Last I heard or knew they were running II’s into mesa power amps and into cabs, but idk how dated that is. Tristan I get cuz he’s his own wildcard really, Paul must be experimenting?Interesting that they dumped Fractal entirely. They were on II’s for ages.
They probably got sick of tweaking the schronkl whilst monitoring the dranzxk, and constantly dealing with the meflungultheiner.Interesting that they dumped Fractal entirely. They were on II’s for ages.
Finland here. I apologize for Neural DSP marketing/over promising. When QC came out, I imagined the exact opposite of what we've seen.
Finland as well, except I won't apologize for them!Finland here. I apologize for Neural DSP marketing/over promising. When QC came out, I imagined the exact opposite of what we've seen.
