NDSP Quad Cortex

Is it a working power supply?

j/k, would be interesting to see them dropping a HX Stomp competitor or something. I've been expecting NDSP to announce some new hardware once they get the QC to launch promise status.
It seems to me they like a challenge though , having 2 products at various stages of development seems like a solid business plan

This was an old mock-up From NDSP forum from 2020 right before the Cortex launch
I remember Doug loving it
So maybe not to far off this it been 4 years

A small dual cortex at a much lower price point where I can justify bringing my own fx would have more appeal to me than the OG QC. I sincerely doubt it's going to be cool enough to get me to throw more money at them.

As long as it's designed better than the QC and they actually know how it's supposed to work well enough to put basic shit in the manual 🤷 But if they come out with something that fixes the QC problems, I can imagine the shit show on their forums

Whatever it is, it's not a reaction to the Kemper Player. It's been in development a lot longer than that.
I just hope they paint it black
The black limited edition looked better IMO
That said if it looks like the mock , has all the amps models fx and captures and they can get it into $1049-1099 price point or lower I would be probably buying one

That certainly seems pretty optimistic as a design, and would probably be hated for the cramped switches too.

Something more like the Hotone Ampero II Stomp might be possible with a larger touchscreen and 3 switches that act as encoders as well. That's still only slightly larger than the Boss GT-1000 Core or HX Stomp. About the same as a Strymon Bigsky or Volante, or half the QC if you rotate the pedal.

That would be a great product for NeuralDSP because it makes the entry to their ecosystem cheaper, which potentially leads to more people buying their plugins to expand the capabilities.

It's honestly weird how NeuralDSP has fumbled on business opportunities with their device. The Cortex Cloud is ripe for being a platform that sells professional captures and presets for a percentage cut like smartphone app stores, but it seems to be very quiet on that front.

Noise issues and poor wifi connection come to mind first as hardware issues that could be fixed.
They have kind of solved the wi fi with the editor you can now just use you computer
Is it ideal ? No but for most I think it will help

I remember looking at Victory stuff and there were no presence knobs? Am I inventing that or was it a V1 thing?
Yeah the V1 didn't have it for who knows why. I didn't like the Victory Kraken or Sheriff that much honestly. Would be interested in trying the Kraken V2 and Super Sheriff.

In hindsight I should have kept my Victory VC35. Loved how that thing sounded through an Alnico Gold. For a very close match, try the Axe-Fx AC-20 Deluxe 12AX7 Treble model but use the "Ideal" controls. With the VC35 mid boost enabled, the Matchless DC-30 was the closest model.

So you are saying you would be doing QC -> USB -> computer -> WiFi -> Cortex Cloud for backups/content management?
