I already had the little one the MT-15 but I found this at my local shop and haggled for out-the-door at $1K, so I had to snatch it up.

I have not had a chance to put it through its paces yet as I'm still waiting for a used 4x12 Mesa Rectifier cab to show up locally (maybe I should just buy one new? 😬 )

I need to start tidying up the room, it's starting to get crowded

Report back. I've seen these a few times out and about but never sat down to actually play one despite knowing it probably sounds great given Tremonti's taste in tones.

Every clip I've heard of these makes them sound like great high gainers. I'll be curious what you think when you get the cab lined up.

Great score! Pretty amazing what PRS were able to get these to sell for, 2nd hand prices seem great too.

Loving the blackout theme with the gear

Let us know about that 2nd channel too. They said it was a "dumble-ish" channel, which:

1. I find odd to include that on a high gainer, and
2. Somewhat annoying, as most people who would buy something Tremonti uses, wouldn't want a "dumble-ish" tone

Tremonti is a dumble fan and has a few in his collection, so he wanted to bring that flavor into the mix. I think it’s cool to get a different choice of sounds like the Mark V/VIIs - often times channel 2 is just a lower gain range of channel 3.

The OD channel's pretty unique & nice - very distinct from the Clean and Lead channels. It definitely leans into that buttery / Dumblesque tone zone but not sure if it covers the entire range (not a big Dumble fan myself). The Lead channel on the thing is awesome though. Trannies are some of the largest I've seen on an amp.
