Finally managed to get my hands on the Lynx! Been hooked on the amp after I saw Ola's video a while back.

Today, I have the beast on my desk \m/

Just saw a video featuring one of these yesterday and it kind of piqued my interest, I don't know much about BadCats - what's the story of the Lynx amp?

Very interesting amp. Definitely the one I would like to try too. Based on amp description from their website it is the only high gainer in their model range.

The Lynx features two distinct channels and an impressive seven gain stages, providing an unparalleled range of tonal possibilities. A new Lo/Hi switch further expands the exploration of gain stage topology, setting the Lynx apart from other amplifiers in Bad Cat’s lineup.

I think a lot of dealers use B-stock to list below the minimum advertised price. I asked because there are not many on the used market so buyers must keep them, or not many sold. The demos I have seen they sound great. Have never seen one local.

I've been eyeing a B-Stock or used one on the market for quite some time; saw just a few used ones pop up from launch to current day but they were all close to MSRP so meah..

I liked most demos except Henning's where it sounded bloated / too fuzzy. Now that I have had some time with the amp, I can definitely say it's peculiar - it can get very shrill / aggressive or overly fat / bloated. The controls have a lot of range in them but the amp leans heavily on the aggressive side.

It's probably the most aggressive amp I've ever tried; even more aggressive than the Ceriatone Chupacabra 50W.
