Finally "complete" is my ICEpower 700AS2 build!
(I use quotation marks because now that I did some clear coat over the paint, I can see some of the past scrawling that I thought I had already sanded out :cuss )

I call it the AK2700. AK for Alex Kenivel, 2700 for 2 Channels of 700w into 4ohms.
Weight: 3.8lbs/1.7kg
L: 6.6875" (incl knobs) X W: 12.25" X H: 2.9375 (incl feet)

Total cost to build was around $363.11 including parts I didn't end up needing and tools I had to replace.

If you're interested in the build thread, you can click here or you can scroll down to the next post for a short description about parts and to see some of the progress pics I've included.

Open to questions or roasts about SS power! :poop:

More Info and build pics:

The aluminum case was ordered from DigiKey with case hardware provided.
Switchcraft input connectors, KAISH Aluminum knobs, Soldering Iron, IEC inlet, heat shrink tubing, Loctite, Drill Tap set and brass hex standoffs came from Amazon.

Rolls of wire, Speaker output connectors, rocker switch and potentiometers came from Parts Express.

Screws into the standoffs came from my local Ace Hardware and the rubber feet I just had laying around along with the paint markers and clear coat spray.

The ICEpower board and wiring assembly came from @Boudoir Guitar :beer

Good job on the build, Alex! Love the logo as well \m/ How loud is it? :satan
Thanks, Turkey! I'm lukewarm about the logo, I won't be mad if the clear coat fails and it rubs away.

As for how loud it gets me, at the end of this video, I pick up the dB meter and hold it up to the camera to show the max hold setting catching 124dB with the Peavey 212-6 with Greenbacks. That's with the volume knob at roughly 1:30 - 2:00:

FAS JVM 😎 I'm running one channel parallel into the two speakers so I have a full 700w on tap. I probably shouldn't play very long at this volume. Good thing our set is like 20 minutes and we probably won't need to be that loud.
