Looks like they got the balance right with the density on that circuit board compared to some of the other Mesas where everything is crammed in.

Just created Tonex copies for the Crunch and Crush channels.

Damn… I forgot to get a Clean with the Gain maxed. That setting is also sick and the Clean channel takes a tube screamer so well! Definitely not a Recto, it’s got it’s own thing happening and it is so easy to dial in, like insanely easy. Love it.

Mesa hit a home run with these but holy sh!t are they expensive now. When these launched on day one I thought the demos (Ola’s and Reza’s) did not sound great and I thought the amps were way over priced ($2200 for a 2 channel bare bones high gain amp?) but sh!t now they are $2800?! and a JP-2C is $4K! WTF?! $4K!

I started getting back into guitar in 2014 and might make one “big” purchase each year, depending on what I’ve got saved up and what’s out there that I think I may get into. I’m glad I was able to score good deals on all this stuff over the years. 2nd, 3rd, 4th hand is the only way to buy amps anymore IMO.

I really dug the BL25 also.
