My crt

My son was in grade 12 about 5 years ago... The local high school was junking all it's A/V gear for modern and he somehow snatched himself a 27".

I'll give him credit, he lugged that thing by himself four blocks and still proudly owns it. It's gotta weigh 65 pounds you can barely get your arms around it. He's involved with some crazy SuperSmash gaming scene... old Nintendo game with a hardcore cult following. Apparently a CRT monitor is key for serious competitors, minimizes signal/control lag or something like that.

A friend of mine was working in broadcasting and I bought a reference grade Sony through him when the company was switching to LCDs. It's just so good for retro gaming, makes those old games look high definition because it smooths the image out so individual pixels are not pin-sharp.
