My guess is prices for American-made instruments will go up sooner than later.

Then again, pricing for PRSs has been very weird lately. Their Indionesian guitars (which are excellent quality, mind you) have risen sharply in cost over the last couple years, specially in Europe.
The margins on the American stuff is significantly higher than it is for Indonesian. So there is a chance that the increase might be more minor, or not at all, for at least a little while.

It's also significantly more expensive to manufacture in America, thou. I don't see how blanket tariffs of ~25% on raw materials cannot lead to price increases for instruments.

I suspect that it's not just the prices that could deter potential consumers from buying American goods. The geopolitical climate could also cause some people to avoid buying American goods. Either way, it will hurt businesses.

Fucking hell, man.

I was actually making a post stating I’d keep this open, but the first person to sling mud would get a 5-day ban.

Then I refreshed the thread before submitting my reply and see this-

the absolute dumbest pieces of shit voted for this but we all are going to suffer as a result. we had a decent run, just have some fun with the time we have left

This is 100% why we do not allow political discussion here. It is impossible for anything political or adjacent to be discussed without someone throwing mud.

Take it to a PM if you want to continue the discussion.
