Monitor isolation question

So, I’ve got two JBL monitors that are delightful AF. next to them, but not touching, are old M-Audios that I use for either general entertainment, or for checking how something sounds through poo speakers.
I’ll be moving from a Mac mini + MacBook Air to just a MacBook Pro, so I want to seat my Pro on a stand next to my monitor.
Long story long, if I stack the little M-Audios on top of my JBL’s, but use some sort of isolation, will it hinder the sound of the JBL’s?

Hard to say for definite, best bet it to just try it and see if it works for you. The likelihood is it'll make both speakers perform different to how they were intended. Isolation pads won't do a lot - decent stands isolate to below 10hz, most feet and mats won't really do anything close to that.

Generally I'd say it's best to just learn one pair of speakers inside out (that's positioned and set up as optimally as possible) and rely on them so much that you don't need to second guess with other speakers. You can take plenty of satisfaction in dropkicking the M-Audio's into the nearest river.

But don't listen to me because I'm a raging hypocrite with a pair of ns10's as well as bigger speakers (I use ns10's like 1% of the time and they're not really interfering with anything).
