Yeah, I've done that a lot with various Marks. It does MOP. It MOPs hard.I actually took a Studio preamp into the fx return on the 2204 over the weekend. Can confirm. It MOPs.
Yeah, I believe that's it. Sure AF sounds like it, when you run a Mark V/VII in IIC+ mode into a 2203 return. That was the Puppets tone wasn't it?
Anyway, was just playing along with the IIC+++ thing

True.My beloved Mesa/Boogie - NOW OWNED BY GIBSON - has officially run out of new ideas.
A pedal-platform 2x12ax7 programmable preamp with onboard power amp sim and IR loading should be their next step. The Friedman IR-X is an awesome piece of kit, as is the new Engl Powerball pedal. There’s no reason Mesa can’t make a follow-up to the Triaxis, it’s been 34 years since it released.True.

I struggle to get excited for a re-release of 40+ years old amps like Mesa and Marshall are currently doing.
What did you expect with Randall no longer in the picture? My beloved Mesa/Boogie has officially run out of new ideas.
