If the IIC++ really is a stock IIC+ with the mod not engaged via the knob, that’s a pretty gross cash grab, even by Gibson’s standards.

I did the rounds at used GC site today. Bunch of non-eq III combos for $1300 that probably need a bunch of maintenance work/updating. Same as it ever was there. I don't want a IV or a V. The complex road for me is in my Axe if I want it. Simple Marks are my best bet for how my brain works. It'll most likely pass (but I do have a birthday coming up). I do think a sub $1300 III is worth it in 2025 if you have the means to apply some form of emulatee Mesa GEQ in the loop… that said if not in a rush I’d hold out for a GEQ loaded unit in the price range m. I’m emphatically getting the sense that IIIs are returning to some vague sense of normalcy and I think that trend is only going to continue
Get the (PRS) guitar for bday and check back on IIIs in 2026

Yeah I've loved about 25 PRS' in pictures but finding 'the one' has been unsurprisingly difficult. Probably as I am too damn cheap! ^Missed this. No LPs for me. They look great on someone else or on a wall hanger but I tried more than a few times and it is just not my jam. Mayyyyyybe an ESP/LTD equivalent; but not a Gibby.
