This is not true, and almost the opposite of what's true. 1960 cabs pre-date T75's by decades. Speakers increased in power handling because amps were becoming more powerful. 1960's had G12H30's, 65's, M70's etc before T75's came along.

I have G12Hs, T75s, and Seventy80s; they all can be dialed in to get a great tone, they just all have different flavors. I don't think any of them are lacking in any way, just different.

I actually don't mind blending them with a V30. I just hate their sound on their own.

i love t75s in a 1960 provided you can dump a lotta voltage into it. at low volumes, theyre definitely less fun, but what isnt?
