Wow. Wiki says Brothers In Arms was the first Album wholly recorded in a digital medium,
and was also the first CD to sell 1 million copies.

I’ve read that too, regarding its all-digital recording process. I have memories of it being on display in 80s hi-fi stores, as the album to listen to on a high-end system.

It's weird. I kind of swore off Peak MTV Dire Straits---so Brothers In Arms is kind of lost on me.

Maybe I need to revisit it.

Just not the same vibe/feel as early DS. And by the time of Brothers In Arms wasn't there dissension
in the band, and even hired guns who came in to play on the Album?

Ry Cooder's Bop 'Til You Drop was earlier but not issued on CD, of course.

Brothers in Arms was the first CD to outsell vinyl. Love me some MK.
