Line 6 HX Bedroom™ (HX Stomp Successor) Speculation Thread

For me the smaller stuff should have XLR. Under $500 and I can make exceptions, over that and I don’t want dongles.
XLR is limiting for outputs because there's no combijack that can support both XLR and 1/4". Of course you could use one, but then the typical cable setup of XLR female plug for outputs won't work.

XLR + 1/4" outs take a lot of space so it's no wonder the XLR is the first to get thrown out when you want to make a compact device. 1/4" balanced outs can perform the same purpose, but you might need to carry an adapter.

Is there a combo output jack? I only ever see inputs.

XLR/TS combi outputs are one of the things we'll likely never see for plain physical reasons. And if someone made them, they'd require special plugs for either format (or at least for the XLR part). At that point, TRS balanced outs and an adapter cable would be just as good.
I'm fine without any, though. All live venues provide DI boxes and if they don't, it's one of the stables in my utility case/bag. My Stomp-board has one sitting underneath, too. And at home for 1-2 m cable runs, I just don't need balanced signals.

Do fucking not make it bigger. Its the best guitar pedal ever made, it belongs with pedals, make sure all people get that next time (people became confused about what Stomp was meant to be), make the ultimate pedalboard modeler, more DSP, free the looper™, 3 switches IS perfectly fine, let people buy any kind of third party switchamaboobs as last time.... its up to them. bigger display.
- 4 switches instead of 3. Possibly the single most relevant limitation I keep running into with the Stomp.
- 4 encoders instead of 3. Ideally 5, but 4 could be fine as long as the parameter order is adressed.
FIGHT!

Yep. Plus, 90° TRS > XLR M cables are golden here. Barely increases the overall footprint.

If we were to follow our nomenclature rules and apply them to OG Helix's road map (which is quite different from the planned Stadium road map):
  • Stadium Rack
  • Stadium Control
  • Stadium LT
  • Stadium Native
  • Stadium Effects (although "Stadium FX" would work better)
  • Stadium Stomp
  • Stadium Stomp XL
  • Stadium One
  • Stadium Turkey Sandwich
  • Stadium Shut Up Beavis You Fartknocker
Now how many people will ignore the parenthetical above and insist this is actually our road map? I'll make it clear: THIS IS NOT STADIUM'S PRODUCT ROAD MAP.

Will the current HX control work with Stadium Rack?
