Lexicon Rack Effects

I meant emulations. I didn’t realize how many of the 70 algos/presets were the source of other emulations. When I got my AxeFX, I didn’t realize the Gymnasium or Tunnel etc were their take on the PCM algos. It clicked immediately scrolling through the PCM’s presets. I had that moment of “Oh, this is the source inspiration for XYZ”.
Ahh... gotcha bro'; thanks man.

“Houston, The Eagle Has Landed.”

Lexicon PCM 92 has arrived, along with a new mobile 8U effects rack.

I still need to install my Furman AR-1215 Voltage Regulator, Lexicon MPX-1, and Roland SRV-330.

Vive les racks immenses !

Friggin awesome!!!

We need the full rundown once you put it through its paces.

***Changing title to reflect all things Lexicon rack 🤘🤘🤘****

Damn, fired up the Roland SRV-330 for an extended play session, after it had been sitting idle for awhile…

Instantly smelled rotten fish. Ahhh, that nostalgic and unmistakeable smell of failing, leaking electrolytic capacitors, most likely in power supply. 😞

Oh well, I do have the service manual and schematics, and will need to do a re-cap. Fun times.

Have you got a classic preamp?

Alas, I sold (many moons ago) an ADA MP1, and a sorely underrated Peavey TubeFex.

No rack-based tube preamps at the moment.

Edit — oh, forgot about a Digitech GSP2112. Also, long since put out to pasture.

I do definitely have my eyes on a few new, contemporary tube preamp units, however.

Whizzinby, and all you good folks…are bad influences. 😎😝

I’m back on;

When I had the original X88R I had the 4U VHT🤣
This one is far easier to use with more gain and IRs . No boosts or drives needed and the EQ is really effective.

Those old VHT's are boat anchors, SO chunky. They do sound amazing though!
