Putting Leo's null test aside for a moment .... does this have the same problem that the Ampero has when playing NAM profiles ie:- .... in that even though they null test ok, they sound totally sh*t / nothing like the same capture played back through the NAM Player

Hotone and Valeton are afaik the same company. Valeton is their even more budget line.

It was the typo, I thought they spun up another offshoot Valeont from Valeton. Just a typo on someone's part earlier in the thread. I didn't have enough coffee to notice at that point.

Honestly the opposite might happen. Misprints are sometimes a hot commodity in collector circles.

I kept thinking "hey, this would be killer!" at first, BUT:

If the industry could at least spin this development into the right direction, it could be a good thing after all.

Given that we're somewhat living in "AI Shit Age" times now, I highly doubt it.

Of course, Chinese companies are embracing the opportunity. No surprise there.

That's an understatement. IK's Tone.net is absolutely littered with Kemper profiles captured via Tonex, and often not marked as such either.
