I just listed my Player for sale today. I have been comparing 2.0 with my new QC and I just cannot come back to the Kemper. I'll keep my MK1 Stage as a backup, but it's on the bench now.
2.0 doesn't seem radically better to me, it just seems a bit clearer and more responsive. But - if I sit with my MK1 Stage, I can get very very close with adding some Clarity, Pick, and EQ. Part of me thinks all they really did is drop the compression and mid-hump that was naturally added in profiles and that's adding the "improved" clarity on its own. And cards on the table - I was banned for a bit after I questioned why MK1 cannot play 2.0 profiles at full resolution when the hardware is identical minus one chip.
The UI of the Kemper unit is so old and tough to use compared to QC. Rig manager isn't awful software, but I've had a lot of problems with it. Cortex Control has been just as good as Rig Manager, if not better for me.
The one thing I am missing is the morph function with an expression pedal. If QC could mimic this with scenes, I'd be 100% good to.
