You and others that keep saying this are a joke and no one should take your opinion seriously. All of the modern modelers are within a hair's breath of each other in most tonal respects as is repeatedly demonstrated in video after video. The fact that people repeatedly get them wrong in blind tests shows how unserious your statements are.

It's like you get some kind of child-like pleasure out of bashing Kemper. There are certainly plenty of good reasons to criticize Kemper, but tone isn't one of them.

Your opinions are hilarious on anything that has to do with guitar tone, drums, or anything really. Go play your golf courses with your cool app that controls your show. Nearly everyone in this thread got the blind tests someone else posted, so that is straight up wrong. It’s interesting how I wasn’t even addressing you, and you chose to lash out like a complete fucking asshole. Says a lot about who you are, and how very sensitive you are when it comes to what you personally like.

Just because you’re apparently half fucking deaf doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t say what our opinion is on a device as it pertains to what WE play.

uh, you guess? uh, I have had some pretty darned drastic changes changing out my tubes (sometimes on purpose). For those of you that don't care when the tones change (mostly because you don't gig and setup rigs to sound a certain way for certain songs) .... great for you. For those that tour or gig frequently, it is very important. Just because you don't care, doesn't mean it isn't important to others.

Anyone that tours or gigs would be very wise to use an Ethercon cable. I have a patch panel on the back of my rack so that I have Ethercon on BOTH sides of my FC cable. I think you will find that this is quite common for touring, and it's a damn good idea for anyone that gigs. Standard ethernet cables are known for their frail nature.
Fractal is 11.53" deep while Kemper is 8.66" deep.

Oh i forgot, you like to remind everyone in every post that youre an engineer (so am I...not sure how its relevant to Kemper MK2) The point I was making is that Kempers ethercon cable for the footswitch and Fractals faslink do the EXACT same thing, so NO theres zero advantage that Kemper has. I said an XLR is likely more common to find laying around on any stage, studio, or local music store than an ethercon cable. you really want to argue that?

The uh I guess was that I thought your argument was really grasping at staws, I still do. Fractals constant firrmware updates and improvements are one of its main strengths and features that people buy it for. somehow you twist it into a disadvantage for "anyone who tours" despite the MAJOR acts using them all over the world. The point I was making is that the changes are so minuscule you wouldn't even be able to tell...nobody would if cliff didnt mention changes in the realease notes. Its more common that he says he "improved X" and everyone goes OMG this is sooo much better when in fact its pretty unoticable. The sound change is less than any EQ work that I would have done at each different venue anyways. Thats quite the leap from fractal makes firmware updates to me 'not caring about my sound and dont know whats important' youre a condescending knob.

The AF3 depth is measured with the handles, its under 10" not including them. That case is quite well know in the fractal community and used commonly. I have mine in that EXACT same case right now...both lids go on without issue...soooo maybe youre the one who doesnt know what youre talking about?? Again, you acting like some pompous know it all. As a side note about a year or two ago I got into it with some guys on TOP about they’d never hire someone for their band without a car.
They’re idea being that if you don’t drive you had to be a drunk and unreliable.
And who ever heard of musicians being self destructive. Lol

I mean when I lived in LA sure, but this whole gigging thing driving to a dive bar requirement and then playing big guy was just weird.

Never had to drive anything when I was actually on tour.

So this live/tour badge of honor usually comes with comedy attached.

Haha so true, I just tried a little thought experiment to see how many famous 'clean' musicians I could think of vs drunks/drug addicts. Its pretty lopsided. Hell even most of the great pop, country, jazz artists have been messed up, not just rock bands.

I’ve been in IT for over 25 years. Engineers who may be really smart in one laser focused area, tend to think they’re fucking brilliant with everything. Doctors and lawyers are similar.

There is more room in a shallow case for a Kemper than there is an AxeIII Fx. It may not matter to you, but it will matter to some. This is especially true for those that might want to also have their wireless permanently hooked up in a rack with it.

I dont dislike Kemper products. I USE AND OWN KEPMER PRODUCTS. I have told you this soo many times. I dont even dislike them in the slightest. Youre on here touting your preference for it like its some sort of indisputable fact and when anyone tries to debate you on it you take passive aggresive shots at everyone throwing little digs in every sentence. I think Kemper certainly can justifiably be criticized on the tonal front, for some of the usual reasons, but I do not share the experience with people who think it sounds like ass. There's many, many examples where I think Kemper sounds good, even great.

I happen to like how it works for me. All of the top tier digital amps are pretty good sounding to my ear. I don't get the attack dog mentality here on Kemper.
