You mean like "WTF are you thinking? Have you opened a webpage in 5 years?" kind of grilling?Or at least we can hope some influencers will grill Kemper a bit about it for more info.

I was thinking more of a friendlyYou mean like "WTF are you thinking? Have you opened a webpage in 5 years?" kind of grilling?![]()

Only got my Kemper last year, but for digital I think the Vibe sounds badass good. Way better than what I had in Line6 stuff (M Series, Helix, ) or SoundSculpture or TC before. YmmvMy one experience at the Kemper forum was seeing people talking about how bad/wrong the uni-vibe sounds - which is completely true, it's probably the worst one I’ve ever heard, at least at the time - and then someone from Kemper responding by saying that’s what vibes sound like, you're all just mistaken and ill-informed.![]()

In the 12-13 years I’ve had the Kemper, they’ve improved the delays, reverbs, stomps / fuzz, added the liquid profiling thing, added an editor and (quite recently) updated the tremolo. They have not yet done anything with the rest of the modulation effects or the wah. They’ve probably improved it, this was a few years ago.
This is not much different from e.g Fractal forums, and probably Line6 too. But the difference is that Cliff is at least willing to explain why something is the way it is, and then fix/improve it if need be. But the fan boys will tend to be quite feral.Every single time they’ve improved something? Before they did it, employees / moderators / fan boys would tell you that you didn’t need any improvements - what was in the unit was already perfect and they would go in the direction of shaming you for not knowing how to use it. The ‘we’ve improved the profiling that was already perfect’ is completely in character with how they’ve been over all this time
I found this interview interesting in terms of claimed "perfection". From way back. Cliff in 2011 about JCM sim. This is not much different from e.g Fractal forums, and probably Line6 too. Which "spot on" can interpreted perhaps more charitably than some other claims, but it's still interesting to me.I found this interview interesting in terms of claimed "perfection". From way back. Cliff in 2011 about JCM sim.
"IC: How close are the A/B tests this time around?
CC: I think they’re spot on. I do. I do double-blind testing with my wife. ‘Alright, which one’s which?’ and she can’t tell."

Cygnus firmware was said to "uncover the secret of chug". The JCM sim people used the most suddenly became bananas good, folk would claim.
And yet, the sim sounded spot on since 2011? (If the sim modeled the same amp. I am not sure). What gives?
I spent about 2 weeks there before I realized it was a useless place and left. When I got my Kemper unit I was using an expression pedal for delay and reverb mix. Jumping between the 5 performances it always went back to the default value and not the pedal position. I thought I was doing something wrong and when I was told that’s just how it was and suggested that’s an improvement that could be made I got a similar response. The mods have a long history of avoiding questions. You’ll see a reasonable question asked in a thread. You’ll then get fanboys jumping on the person who dared to ask such a thing
Now washes whiter.Which "spot on" can interpreted perhaps more charitably than some other claims, but it's still interesting to me.

These days, they're probably more worried about the Russian Front. They better talk about more than the slanted front.
Feel. Honestly, the sound really hasn’t changed much in years. But feel has. Most of the improvements since then are things in the models that most of us will not perceive audibly. And yet, the sim sounded spot on since 2011? (If the sim modeled the same amp. I am not sure). What gives?
Please hit up both the Kemper and BluGuitar booths and report back!I'll be at Guitar Summit, don't think they were there last year? At least, I don't remember seeing them. If they have anything new I might report it here... I might also not though. We'll see![]()

Kemper should be at Guitar Summit this year at least based on the GS website.
