The power amp in the powered Kempers are great for what that's worth \m/
Isn't it just a SD Powerstage essentially? The power amp in the powered Kempers are great for what that's worth \m/
Ewwww Powerstage! It's an Ice power module. Not sure what their secret sauce is but it does a great job with a real speaker cabinet.Isn't it just a SD Powerstage essentially?
Yeah I agree 20 seconds is a lot these days. But a marked improvement nonetheless. If Helix is about 15 seconds, that's in the range of "not going to bother anyone too much".
Precisely! For all their blather about "accuracy isn't important, I just wanna have a good time when I'm making my degen pr0n for my Tik Tok page" absolute waffle nonsense.... if Kemper came out and said "yeah, we improved the accuracy by ten-fold" they'd all be jizzing and gloating about their choice of gear. You absolutely fucking know they would, because they did it for the first few years when Kemper was first launched; before the scales fell from people's eyes. All the people now saying accuracy doesn’t matter go play a gig, will suddenly revel in the fact the kemper is the most accurate and have that at the forefront of the conversation![]()
The marketing copy reads like guff. I want to know precisely what has been improved, if indeed anything has.FWIW I want the update to be awesome, but the realist in me thinks otherwise. Happy to see it scrutinised up against NAM and the others, hopefully it does well

Yes I believe so.Looking through the new manual...did the Kemper already have Transpose and Double Tracking?
- Precise analysis of over 100,000 frequency points: the most accurate speaker simulation in history
- Dynamic Box Resonance Capture: The industry's longest and most complex impulse response technology is used to restore the real dynamics
- More than 100,000 individual frequency points meticulously analyzed for the most precise amp recreation ever achieved.
- Next-Level Speaker & Dynamically adjustable Cabinet Resonance – Capturing the true dynamics of your setup with the longest and most complex impulse responses in an amp capturing device.
From my understanding that initial write up was taken from a Chinese website. I'm not going to pretend to know any language outside English but could it have been a translation issue?9 hours ago the leaked copy was:
But on the Kemper site it is:
That is a bit fishy.
Ah, quite possibly! From my understanding that initial write up was taken from a Chinese website. I'm not going to pretend to know any language outside English but could it have been a translation issue?
Until the Kemper makes more accurate Profiles and comes out with a redesign for the hardware it's not a Mk. II in my book.
They can put more effects, longer effects chain faster boot times, metal knobs, cosmetic sticker skins, etc. but until it Profiles on par or better than current tech and they put that in a redesigned Head, Rack and Floorboard this isn't a Mk. II
I really like the Kemper editor and workflow, keep all that, build a new device and make it the premier Profiler/Capture device on the market.
They state it has new Profiling tech that is more accurate and I'm sure that will be put to the test. It's a shame they didn't spend the money and release new innovate hardware to go along with the software updates.
This doesn't look like a Mk. II, it looks like a software update to the existing hardware.
Nah, I read this read it as it can run the "new" profilesExisting Player can create Profiles or can it just use the "new" Profiles? I hate to say it but after the paid unlocks for Player, I don't trust Kemper Marketing copy. WTF is this?
