All of your kind words and thoughts have meant a lot, more than I can put into words
I do play guitar, not very well, but i'm a vicious tinkerer with sound...
i would consider myself more in the audio recording/pro audio/mastering/engineering side of things.
He left me his Masvidalien Strandberg, and will put it to good use getting some songs out of my heart/brain into the world that i've been holding in for too long. I also have a 1980 yamaha fg-340 acoustic which sounds bonkers incredible for how normal it is
Own a CFoulke Handpan in the key of C# celtic minor, love to play it when people who jam with me don't mind sticking to a relative key :)
I am an a1 tech for a large scale sound system, we have yet to bring the entire rig out but whatever pictures you saw from burning man that Achilles posted, its that system times 2 (or 4, depending on which pic you saw)
I would say that i care a lot about and am fairly knowledgable in concepts surrounding the signal chain, AD/DA conversion, and the hardware/software fusion headspace. Quite good with technology, born into music.
Not an expert in anything per se, but when i finally release these songs, i hope some ears will perk up!
