I just got a Sony DPS M7 and I think that its gonna kick the SPX900 out of the rack...

Detune and chorus ensemble (symphonic style) are just amazing...

That's one of my all time favourites! Detune and chorus on it are indeed amazing. The "Spiral Delay" is out of this world too.

The UI is definitely up there with the very worst I've ever tried - one parameter per page and some algos have 90 parameters :s

Damn, those Sony units seem awesome, considering their old age. I knew Yamaha made a bunch of rack units back in the day, but tbh, I've never known that Sony did as well.

I imagine they were more popular in video/broadcasting studios but nevetherless they are excellent processors. The build quality and the way the electronics are engineered are also impressive.
