In all seriousness, I once saw 10's of thousands of people walk out as soon as Elton John started his gig. It was the Harley Davidson 100th Anniversary celebration in 2003 and over half the crowd left as soon as the "surprise headliner" was revealed. I must admit, HD did not think it through when they put a gay English knight on the stage for their crowd (and did not tell anyone prior to the show) at their centennial celebration. I have heard that Willie G Davidson's daughter was in charge of the acts for the final hoorah, and she was a huge Elton fan. I was psyched as I and my friends were able to easily move forward about 100 yards.

No, they all left because he does not ride a Harley (that we know of)! If you don't see the classic HD demographics as being less than welcoming to gay, English and Knighted, at the celebration of a very American and masculine celebration, I can not help. If ZZ Top had come on stage, I am pretty certain more than half of the crowd would not have left within 10 minutes ;~)) Assume what you want from that.
Nobody cares about gay over here other than morons.

Cause I would've remembered that (i think), and like you, moved right up front. Our headliner was Hootie & the Blowhards. Yuck.
But yeah, that was a cool presentation, seeing all the old Harleys and what not! Back when I had my 100th Electra Glide Classic. Man I wish I hadn't sold it.

I don't know about the "tour", I was referring to the 100th Anniversary Celebration in Milwaukee (home of HD). There was (based on whose estimates you want to believe) 200 - 500 k people on the lakefront of Lake Michigan for that show. I would say half were gone within 30 minutes.Damn dude! My highlights from that 100th Anniversary celebration were:
1. Got to ride my HD Springer from San Francisco to Milwaukee to attend (had just been laid off my full time job, perfect timing)
2. A friend had a boast slip at the marina on Lake Michigan, so he had 2 full access passes to that area and let me have one of them. For the Elton John concert (which again, was not announced, it was just the finale of a week of HD party and celebration in Brew town), with a crowd the size mentioned above, you can imagine that all roads in and out of that area were closed to all traffic, unless you had an all access pass ;~)) So me and about 10 friends piled into a mini-van and headed down there. I had my doubts until at the first check point, I showed the pass and they moved the gate and waived me through. By the time we got down to the park (after 3 other check points where they let me through the gate without question) where the concert was actually taking place (and the marina was at the far end of this park), we were driving through crowds of thousands of people. As we approached the marina, two security guards guided us the rest of the way, forcing the crowd to clear a path for us to drive through, and we ultimately parked in the marina parking lot and unloaded our coolers of beer! Only time in my life I have experienced anything like that, felt like royalty ;~))
3. Watching chicks show their tits to cops and the cops just smiling!
4. Watching dudes do burnouts with their bikes with crowds standing only feet away and cops just smiling (and maybe plugging their nose from the smell of all the burnt rubber)!
5. Got to ride my 100th Anniversary Screamin' Eagle Deuce in the 100th Anniversary parade (won the ticket to ride in parade via a lottery drawing through the factory) ;~))
After I left, to get back to SF, I rode west to the Mississippi river and then followed it all the way down to New Orleans (I found it to be pretty disappointing as it is very difficult to actually be on the river 80% of the time). I then headed west from there and then North/West to get back to SF. It was my 3rd cross country tour on one of my HD's (I had the Deuce shipped to Milwaukee to ride there in the parade and so that another friend who was flying in would have a bike to ride). It was an incredible experience!!!!

I’ve known exactly zero sitar players who restring their own instrument. I have also not ever seen a sitar player get ALL the strings re-strung. They mostly get the main seven done once in a blue moon and some just get the main string changed and that’s about it.Probably stringing up a sitar and tuning it.

Makes sense. It would seem to be one of those instruments to "change a string as needed" and not because you're bored and want to experiment with gauges.
